Danielle is a dedicated Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and RASP Category A and our Clinical Supervisor at ABC Autism Services, with over a decade of experience supporting neurodiverse children and teens. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of São Paulo and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Simon Fraser University. Danielle is deeply passionate about her work with neurodiverse individuals, particularly in helping children and teens navigate social interactions and develop essential life skills. Her experience includes the successful implementation of Social Skills Groups, where she designs and leads programs aimed at fostering communication, emotional regulation, and relationship-building for kids and teens. As a mother of a child with autism, Danielle brings both professional expertise and personal empathy to her practice, offering a unique perspective that helps her connect with families and provide tailored support. Her commitment to improving the lives of neurodiverse individuals shines through in her work, and she is driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and understanding environment.

I believe in creating balance between the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual elements that define who we are. I value an integrative approach to counselling with a strong foundation built on humanistic, family of origin and client-centered principles. In practice this means my energy is directed toward building a relationship based on empathy, positive regard, and genuineness. These are necessary elements in the change process.

My aim is to always provide an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and valued. Only then does positive personal growth begin. On some level of consciousness based on their experience in life, I believe the client is in possession of the answers to their questions. It is my job to help clients identify, develop, and mobilize their own resources to successfully solve problems and meet challenges.
